We provide residents aged 16–17 with a supportive and nurturing home environment where they can grow and thrive. With expertise in caring for individuals under Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), we ensure that each resident’s needs are assessed individually through detailed care planning and risk assessments.
• Our mission is to give our 16-17 year olds a nurturing, safe, and encouraging environment so they can realize their full potential.
• Our specialised staffing team can develop and nurture residents with the following resources. People with complex mental health disorders who are covered by a DoLs order.
• Emotional and behavioral disorders resulting from childhood trauma.
• Requirements for attachment having CSE and CCE psychotic episodes.
• Our residential care facilities provide person-centered support and a range of healthcare services that are specifically designed to cater to the requirements of individuals.
In specific emergency circumstances, and following a rigorous risk and needs assessment, we may consider the placement of a young person who is 15 years of age, ensuring our setting remains appropriate for their welfare and development.
In accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, DoLs orders are implemented as part of each young person’s individual care plan, incorporating essential safety measures such as locked doors, window restrictions, and one-to-one supervision where required.
All staff undergo comprehensive training, equipping them with the skills required to support young people, alongside specialised training in DoLs procedures, safeguarding and low level restraining techniques provided by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) ensuring compliance with authorised court orders under Section 25 of the Children Act 2004 and in alignment with Court of Protection guidelines. We work closely with bail and remand services to assist with court hearings, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) reviews, and transitions to custody, home, or alternative placements.
